Manicure Monday: Half Moon

I was glad I was able to squeeze some time to do my nails as I have been very busy now because of the wedding preparation. It's still a nail art despite the hectic schedule. I vowed to make it a point to practice nail art every week for my Manicure Monday posts. I am sticking with basics as of now since I'm just a newbie.

For this nail art, I opted a glittery yellow polish for my base. I already put base coat to protect my nails. I had this OMG Gems Collection in Beryl and decided to go for a lavender second color which is the Winning Streak from Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy.

First paint your nails with the color of your choice. You need to make sure that the first color is 101% dry or else, the sticker will pull the polish off which happened to me.

This is how I put the sticker. Since I only have small nails, I adjusted the sticker close to my cuticle so it would look like there's barely a hint of the gold color.

The nail art would be a success if only I had let the gold polish dry for a long period of time. I think it's only a matter of 10 minutes when I put on the sticker that's why when I pulled it off, it took away the gold polish and ruined the look. I just needed to adjust the polish and restart.

This is the finish look on my right hand. It's a cliche that the left hands was totally a mess and I took a shot on my right hand. I struggled to take this shot using my left hand. I usually take shots of my NOTDs showing my left hand as it is the most clean than the two.

Well, what can you say on my Manicure Monday post? I don't know if it's a YAY or a NAY but I think I like it. I should have chosen a darker shade of lavender though. Perhaps a purple or violet would be better. I am thinking of new designs for next week and I can't wait to learn more.

Hope you like it! XOXO ♥
