Review: Etude House PK007 Eyeshadow

It's the last day before 2013 will take place. Earlier, we already did all the cleaning and a bit of preparation for the celebration of the new year! I am really feeling giddy and excited about how this new year will turn out! I hope it will be for the best! ^_^

I was cleaning up some of my things when my sister asked me about the eyeshadow I got that I was not using. It's from a Korean shop Etude House. I'm a fan of Etude House but I just totally forgot to (review and to) use this.

I bought this months ago and totally forgot all about it. I had tried few swatches though and tried it like 3-5 times and it just disappeared. I only found out about this few days ago when I was cleaning my other bags. Now thinking about my other bags, I found out that my very first expensive bag was stained all over! I don't know what happened with my Rebecca Minkoff! Now I am looking for someone who can repair it for me. Do you know anyone? I've heard about Bag Rx at Eastwood City, Libis and I want to give it a try! Do they give good results? I want to read a review from them.

Moving on, since this eyeshadow was kept in my drawers, and was forgotten all along, I think I owe this blog a lot. It only means I'm way behind my posts!

I like the packaging because it's really cute and the letters are embossed unlike others that were just printed. Those are easily erased unlike this one. This also has a pinkish shade. Light pink actually, which apparently not much to my liking.

Since some Korean products doesn't have the name, most of the time, it's just reflected on the item code. I like the shade of PK103 for blush-on on EH. This one's lighter but it's cute because it's glittery.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of eyeshadow or maybe because I didn't know the trick on how to put one. I still need to practice my makeup skills so I could appreciate more what I'm doing.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Pretty packaging
  • The label's embossed and wasn't erased even after some time.
  • It glittery making it more obvious when applied on.
  • Great for sensitive skin.
Nay! (◕︵◕)
  • Very light pink.
That's just it! I like the product, it's just that I didn't got the chance of using it too much! Actually, I simply love Etude House eversince! I want to try their new products. Also, they have great marketing. Just getting Dara is so cool already but they have SHINEE as well! Wait! Did I mentioned that I'm a kpop fangirl at heart??? Love SHINEE to bits! ♥

I apologize for forgetting the price of this. I was not in my right mind when I purchased this making it hard for me to remember how much I got this one on store.

Price: Sorry! +_+ (I forgot how much)

Review: Wet n Wild 522A Lipstick

Few days to go and we will bid goodbye to 2012. The new year 2013 may be full of surprises and may have lots of events that will create new memories for each and everyone of us. I am just really excited and looking forward to it! ^_^

Before the end of the year approaches, I want to make my very first review post about lipstick. I'm a noob when it comes in reviewing cosmetics but I'm trying my best to deliver what I like and dislike about the product.

When I returned to work after the Christmas break, my workmate Joy gave me a lipstick. She just handed it to me (together with a Magic Pink cream) and said. "oh ate, sayo na lang. pasensya na ah, nasira eh! pero promise bago yan, d yan nagamit". I took it to thinking that it's her gift for me. Regardless if its new or used, I don't bother as long as the person who gave it was really sincere. Well, except for cosmetics though, but this is an exception. It was really new with a little deformity. :)

I am not used to with this color because I'm more into lighter shade of pink or red user. This one's a little off for me but since it's a gift, might as well try it and see how it works with my complexion.

I can say that this is like the old rose color. I like the texture because it's soft and easy on the lips. I always try cosmetics on my skin first to determine if I will have some itch or redness but this one is safe. I remember my sister trying an Eos lip balm directly on her lips and afterwards she looked like she kissed a king crab. Yeah, you know what I mean. :p

I don't know how to termed it but the label was written in silver on a silver background making it light and difficult to distinguish in the photo. :/

The shade was fine with me but my sister said that it looks like granny's lipstick making it a little off for fair skinned. I think, I would still want this anyway because I like the texture of it.

I applied the lipstick and took a shot but since my camera is dying right in front of me, I can't take decent photos that are clear and crisp. Be the judge.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Got it for FREE since it's a gift!
  • Texture is soft and smooth.
  • It has a sheer that makes the lips looks moisturize.
Nay! (◕︵◕)

  • Not so attractive packaging.
  • It smudges easily. It's kinda messy.
  • Staying power doesn't last long.

As a whole, I like the lipstick though I'm not very much into this shade but it's fine anyway. If there's a brighter pink or lighter red, I think I'll go with it! Also I want to try their latest Fergie nail polish and Fast Dry.

You? What's your favorite Wet n Wild product? Share! ^_^

Price: FREE because it's a gift! (no idea of how much)

Review: Red Logo's Bliss Body Butter

Merry Christmas everyone! How was your Christmas so far? Mine was a bit busy or should I say really productive because I made the most out of my off from work and spent some time with my loved ones. The sad part is, I'm not with Jaycee because he's in Laguna. *sigh*

Anyway, I'm still catching up with my backlogs because of my busy schedule. Here's another review and finally decided to finish it today before setting to work again tomorrow. It's the Bliss Body Butter from Red Logo.

I got this as a prize few months ago when I joined a certain giveaway. I already forgot who sent it! (sorry T_T). Still, I'm really thankful to the host whenever I win in contest and giveaways! ^_^

Honestly, at first, I don't know the difference of body butter from lotion or body creams. When I did some research, most answer said that body butters are more thicker and richer than the latter two. I agree! After a couple of weeks of using the product, I've been aware of what beauty butter can do to my skin.

Body butters are nutrient dense creams used to hydrate the skin. Also, it moisturizes more than the regular lotions and creams.

It comes in different types such as shea butter, cocoa butter, mango, kukui nut, among others. I  am most familiar with shea butter but I got nectarine blossom and honey for this product I'm reviewing.

For this product, I love how thick it is because I know that it moisturizes my skin really well. However, since it's really thick, I feel that my skin is heavy after applying it. I always wanted some lightweight products on my skin because I commute everyday before going to work and I don't want to feel 'sticky'.

So what I did, I opted to use this product before going to sleep instead of using it in the morning and on some areas too that needs a lot of moisture like my heels, knees, elbows, etc. Look! Texture is really thick! ^_^

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Got it for FREE!
  • It moisturizes heavily.
  • It helps rough skin areas becomes smooth.
Nay! (◕︵◕)
  • Heavy feeling after the application.
  • So-so smell. (not good nor bad)
I'm currently using the last portion of it. I like it but I think I will find another body butter that I will like MOST. What can you recommend? Hmmm, I'm eyeing on shea butters. I hope I can find my match. :)

Review: Why I Hate Airbrush Nail Design!

Happy Holidays everyone! I apologize for not posting much because I was seriously busy this season because of the stress the holiday brought. I need to finish shopping this and that and that! Good thing I don't have work yesterday and today. Anyway, I managed to get some photos of the products I wanted to review despite my busy schedule.

I've been a fan of nail polishes and stuff about nail art. I may not have posted my interest about nail products but I will try to do so as I continue my journey on this blog. Well, this post is about nail designs.

The time my sister and I bought Airbrush Design was when she attended a wedding of a friend. She badly wanted to have something pretty and unique on her nails for the event so when we went to the department store, we were looking for nail art designs. That's where we saw this one.

Actually, I was the one who encouraged her to try this product since it's my first time to lay eyes on this cute thing. I was exposed to nail arts yes, but not the type that you can D-I-Y.. So I insisted her to buy it, and she agreed!

Apart from the interest to try this one, I was so encouraged by the SL when she introduced the product. It's on 50% off and it was the current design in the market as what she said. I was sold! Or should I say I was hypnotized to buy the product! We bought it!

It is also indicated that it's PERFECT for LONG WEAR! That's the most convincing part since my sister mentioned that she wanted one that won't chip off easily.

Detailed instructions were also provided. There's even a step-by-step process on how to do it with some photos. Take a look!

How to Apply:
1. Apply glue to nail.
2. Apply glue to natural nail.
3. Press On.
4. Clean Up.

How to Remove:
1. Do not force or pull nails off.
2. Trim artificial nail and file surface to break through protective topcoat.
3. Soak nails in acetone-based nail polish remover until soft. Wipe off softened plastic and glue.

NOTE: Wear beyond 10 days is not recommended.

From the outside, everything is already fine. However, when my sister used it, it became a mess! The reasons are the following:

1. The glue inside the package is not in good quality. It's already dry and even if you push it to the limit, no liquid will come off.

2. Nails are not in proper sizes. Even if you will file it, it's too brittle resulting to breaking and not being in proper shape.

3. Even if you will use a different type of glue, the nail comes off after a few minutes, making it hassle to wear/use because you need to paste it again every now and then!

My sister was really pissed off when she got home and gave me the details as to what happened with her experience with this thing! I was even pissed off myself because it seems like it's my fault that I dragged her to buy the product.

Yay for me! (◕‿◕)
  • It has pretty design
Nay! (◕︵◕)
  • Expensive for P560.00 (Good thing we bought it at 50% off!)
  • Glue inside is dry!
  • Too big even if it indicated medium-sized.
  • Nails are brittle making it hard to manage.
  • Nail comes off after some minutes making it a bit of a hassle to use.
Good thing we had it at 50% off because if not, I will really be totally pissed off up to this day! I was a bit mad as of this typing because of my sister's review on this. It's even better if she just head over to a  salon for a quick manicure fix! Mianhe unnie! (I'm sorry sister) T_T

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Aside that it's expensive, it's also hard to use. I was thinking that maybe the product was a bit old or was just resting in Watsons shelves for years making it a huge fail. I hope the maker of this would try to do something about it.

My Christmas Wishlist! ♥

Five days to go before Christmas and to be honest, I am not feeling the Christmas vibe maybe because I'm currently busy at work and I also have work on Christmas eve and on the Christmas day itself! Poor me! >.<

Now, I am trying to delight myself on some wishful thinking that I may receive these or maybe just some this season. ^_^

My Christmas Wishlist 2012

1. CAMERA

Regardless of the brand, I want to have a camera that will make decent photos for my blog. I am owning a Sanyo camera which is already dying right infront of my very eyes and needs to be changed soon. What affordable camera can you recommend? I want to have one that will make nice food posts and with high definition as well.

2. BDJ 2013 PLANNER

I somehow 'need' to have a planner to keep myself track on 2013. Jaycee and I are declaring it as our year and I don't want a single day to be as unproductive as this curent year. Yes, to be honest, I bummed for quite some time and I don't want that to happen again. So this is a must! ^_^

3. MAKEUP BRUSH SET

Why brushes??? I'm not a makeup guru of some sort. Well, that's the point! I believe that applying makeup is not a talent but a skill; and a skill can be learned. So I will start practicing on the how to's and what's the proper way on how to do this and that on my face. :)

4. DRESSES, BLOUSES, PANTS, SHOES, BAGS, COSMETICS, ETC.

I just want to have all that girly stuff. Period. No need to elaborate. hahaha.. ^_^

That's it! This is the most updated list I can come up with with just few days before Christmas. Still I would love to receive anything especially when its from a loved one! ♥

I still need to catch up on buying gifts. Busy bee mode! Hope everyone will have a happy holiday! xoxo

Tutorial: How to Shape Your Eyebrows

I have very thick eyebrows. Admittedly, I don't know how to clean or shape it up that's why I'm seeking professional help when it comes to cleaning my eye area. I'm currently busy at work that's why I haven't visited the salon lately. Once I have the time, I would like to experience threading for the first time!

Anyway, while downloading some kseries, I researched on some tutorials on how to get your eyebrow shape. Women's Health provided me some tips on how to do my eyebrows. Read on to find out how.

1. LOCATE YOUR STARTING POINTS

Flip your tweezer upside down so the open end is pointing downward, and place it vertically alongside the outer edge of the bottom of your nose. The point where the vertex lands marks the beginning of your brow (which should also be about one inch above the inner corner of your eye). Using an eye pencil, draw a vertical line to demarcate the start of each brow, then check that the space above the bridge of your nose is centered between them. Remove the strays that fall in between.

2. MARK YOUR END POINTS

Lay the tweezer on an angle against your cheek so that the open end is at the bottom of your nose and the other end reaches the outer corner of your eye. The spot where the tweezer intersects your brow is where the hairs should end. Mark it with the eye pencil, then pluck the hairs beyond the line.

3. DETERMINE YOUR BROW THICKNESS

Starting just below the fullest part of your brow, use an eye pencil to draw a line along the bottom edge of your brow; it should be above any stray hairs and it should follow the natural shape of your brow's top line, which may be angled, slightly curved, or even straight. Pluck the strays below the line. Ultimately, your brows should be between a quarter inch and a half inch at their thickest.

4. SHAPE YOUR ARCH

Look straight into a mirror. The arch should peak above the outer rim of your iris and lie right on your brow bone: Imagine upside-down check marks, but with soft angles. Mark the point with your eye pencil, then remove a row of hairs along the bottom, from your inner brow point to the peak point. After the peak, shape the tail. Make it a bit thinner than the main part of your brow, tapering at the end.

Simple and easy steps on how to get the perfect eyebrow shape. I might try this over the weekend so that even if I don't visit the salon, I would still be able to get my brow's perfect shape before attending Christmas parties and other stuff.

Any tips on cleaning/shaping you eyebrows? Share your thoughts here! 6 more days! Merry Christmas! xoxo.. ^__^

Haul: I'm the Member of the Month Winner!

I've been a fan of giveaways aside from blogging per se. I started joining contests and giveaways last year and whenever I have free time, I would always invest it in joining such contests. I have my share of ups and downs in joining. There are times that I won expensive stuff and sometimes I even won a pen. Whatever it may be, I'm always delighted! ^__^

Just last week, I discovered that I'm the winner of Miss Celline's member of the month giveaway! I always looked on her for reviews and such so I always have the passion in commenting back on her posts. She is actually one of the inspiration why I started to have this beauty blog and where I got the courage to do reviews too!

Without further ado, here's my share of winnings from Miss Celline's member of the month giveaway:

I received the prizes early this week when I got home from work and I opened it immediately so I didn't got the chance to take a photo of the parcel I received. I got a FREE HAUL in no time! :) I'll be making a review of these products soon when I got the time.

Also, I already gave the vanity perfume to my dad because it didn't fit to my liking. The smell was just too strong for me. On the other hand, I'm loving the Acqua Bella from Penshoppe and I'll soon open the Pure Beauty products to give it a try.

Are you a fan of giveaways like I do? What's your recent winnings lately? Share here.

Btw, thanks a bunch to Miss Celline for hosting the giveaway! I also have a giveaway where you can win FEATHER HAIR EXTENSIONS. Join HERE! ^__^

Review: Happy Teatime Green Tea by Etude House

I know I need to explain why I've been MIA for the past couple of  days. I've been TERRIBLY busy because of training schedule and my shift starts at 2pm and ends before midnight. Plus add 2-hour travel time so it took more of my blogging time. For those who didn't know, I was hired in a call center somewhere in Clark and it's a project-based job I accepted while waiting for a school item.

Now that I said my piece, let' proceed with the review. ^__^

I've been a huge fan of KPOP or simply put it as a huge fan of Korea itself. Everything in there: music, food, culture, clothing, drama, idol groups, especially cosmetics and/or beauty products are the ones that attracts me to like the country even more.  I was and still awed with how smooth and glowing Korean skins are. So I started patronizing their products as well, especially when dealing with skin care.

I've been using Happy Teatime Green Tea Facial Foam for 8 months now and I can say that I love how it cleanse and nourishes my skin. I feel that I always glow when I continuously using the product. Aside from that, it has a refreshing tea scent that will make you feel awake and vibrant.

Since it's a Green Tea facial foam, it's also safe to use to different skin types. It's guilt-free that you are not putting too much chemical-made facial foam on your face. And since it's natural, it's safe to use.

Since I have a 150 ml on this tube, it took awhile before the tube was almost empty. As of this writing, maybe I can still use this for about a week or two. Who knows, maybe it will still last for a month. You know he drill after a month. hahaha.. :D

It has a light green milky texture. The good thing about this product is it's really foamy that's why even if you'll just use a small amount, it will go a long way.

Yay! (。◕‿◕。)
  • FREE (sister's gift)
  • Packaging. Aside from pump container, I prefer that it's upside-down. (came up on my own term. If you know what I mean. ^_^)
  • Foamy in just a little amount
  • Nice scent. Just mild.
Nay! (◕︵◕)
  • Huge space required
  • Not a great option on travel 'coz it's big. I don't know if there's a smaller size though.
In totality, I like the product since it makes my skin glowing. Great for daytime and nighttime use.

Do you have experience with the product? Share here. I would love to hear your reviews about it! ^__^

Giveaway: Win Feather Hair Extensions by Hair Extension Deal (CLOSED)

Hi everyone! It's time to present a mini-giveaway for the readers of my beauty/fashion blog. Since I'm currently busy at work, I somehow forget my beauty web abode so I haven't been updating much here as I would want to. However, I'm trying to find time to create post as much as I can.

Anyway, before we proceed with the giveaway, let me just give you a brief info about our sponsor. I received an email from Hair Extension Deal saying they want me to host a giveaway for the readers on my blog so here it is!

Why and how To Choose Hair Extensions?

Hair extensions are a very popular accessory worn by celebrities and the everyday woman. Wearing hair extensions has become as common as putting on jewelry or wearing makeup. To achieve different looks, women choose different textures and lengths of hair that complement their facial features and moods.

1. Determine what hair style that you want to wear. For a curly style, you would choose textured hair. For a glamorous look with curls, choose the wet-and-wavy hair. For a straight look, choose the silky straight, remi or the yaki straight hair.

2. Determine your budget. The cost for hair extensions varies greatly depending on quality, availability and textures. Deciding what your budget well ahead of time helps to avoid any cost surprises and unnecessary expense.

3. Match the hair extension color as close to your natural hair as possible. This makes the weave hair extension appear to be natural and not look like a "wig." For a complimentary color in your hair, choose a streaked or highlighted extension. Apply the color extension highlights subtly to keep the natural look.

4. Shop for quality hair extensions at local beauty supply stores or online beauty supply retailers. Ensure that the retailer, offline or online, specializes in selling hair extensions. Don't purchase hair extensions from suppliers who "happen" to sell hair. The quality won't be the same.

5. Treat hair extensions just as you would natural hair. Take great care to shampoo and gently comb the hair extensions in between uses.

18" Straight 7pcs Clip In Human Hair Extensions Natural Black(#1b)
