October Collective Haul

Another month of random hauls of different stuffs. I bought little stuff this month because Christmas is near and I need to save so I can purchase my loved ones gifts for the holidays. Even so, I still can't resist some little impulsive shopping in between.
Blogapalooza Loot
More on my Blogapalooza experience here
USB Hub - P88.00
I need this for quite some time already since we're having issues with the front USB port in the CPU. Finally, I got to get one from Japan Home for P88.00 only compare to mall prices which is around P100-150. Downside: As of this morning, it's not functioning anymore.
Peppero Peanut - P40.00
I want to get the bigger version of this at SnR.
Couple Tee - P519.00 (Spoofs Ltd.)
Jaycee immediately got his without taking a photo with the pair. For 6 years, this is our first couple tee together. Thanks to my love for considering buying one. Teehee.
Scrub Massage - P88.00 & Rich Butter Hand and Heel Cream - P378.00
Etude House at SM Pampanga was already closed so when Jaycee and I went to Marquee Mall a week ago for a simple date, I immediately bought a hand and heel cream to cure my hand and feet worries.
Scented Lavender Candles - P49.75
I cleaned the room two weeks ago and I saw a miniature house for scented candles. I am going to use this one for that.
BDJ Fair Scavenger Hunt Prizes
I joined the BDJ Scavenger Hunt last BDJ Fair and won as first place! Yay Team SWING! :)
Pet Express Free Gift from the BDJ Fair
I wasn't able to include this with the whole loot above because I immediately gave this to Jaycee's dog Chuchi.
BDJ Fair Loot
These were the products I got from the BDJ Fair. It's the combination of all the freebies in each partner brand present at the fair. I got a lot of pens!
Photo Paper for P40.00 & P63.00 respectively.
Stationary - P22.00 each
I bought these stuff because I am planning to scrapbook some photos during my free time which is this semestral break but unfortunately, our principal didn't gave free day to us teachers. We have a working sembreak.  I think I'll scrapbook on Christmas vacation instead.
Maybelline Modern Metallics - P160 and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - P280
Face Spa - FREEBIE
I bought this at Suzanne's Emporium which sells AUTHENTIC beauty products at a very affordable price. Check out her store here.

October BDJ Box - P580.00
After skipping 3 months of subscription since June, I got a BDJ Box again. I was so excited with my box. Check my unboxing here

Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash Off - W7700
My sister's friend went to Korea so I immediately asked her to get me two tubs of Skin Food's Black Sugar Mask. It's so happened that I wasn't able to give her money beforehand so she only got me one tub since her money was on a budget and she doesn't want to use her CC there because of the higher tax. Pity! his is almost half the price there. Even so, I'm happy she got me one. ^.^

I have a whole nice set of hauls this month. I'm excited with the Skin Food mask which I just got earlier before writing this post. I also wanna try the loot bags contents from the events I attended this month. I got a lot from them so I really want to thank everyone for the items. Will blog all of them soon so please watch out for that!

Btw, it's almost 12midnight! Happy Halloween! ♥

October 2014 BDJ Box Unboxing

It's been 3 months since I last posted an unboxing on BDJ box because I didn't chanced on the boxes the past 3 months. I was lucky to subscribe for October and I on next year's series of boxes, missing November and December. It really just a matter of timing on subscription boxes.

I received the box few days ago but I was so occupied with the school's action research on continuous improvement program so I am really burnout the past days and didn't got the time to blog. Now, let me reveal (though it's late) the contents of this month's BDJ Box.

I was so happy with this month's box. They gave out 2 boxes and it's a big box. If you saw my previous unboxing, you'll notice I only have the regular box but this one is a huge box. This is my first!

I am excited with the Revlon and with the Dove vials. Most were sample sizes like the Yves Rocher, Strip It items and L'Oreal. I got so many samples like the one above from Yves Rocher so I am not really excited about that. I would love if the L'Oreal would be full sized so I can really see the effect of the serum which I am really looking forward to. As for the Dial, I also have the same items which I got from Sampleroom so I think I'll spare this one and give it to my sister. I think I'll give this box a 3 out of 5.

Overall, the box didn't disappoint me because of the Dove and the Revlon. Now that I have 2 huge bottles of Dial wash and two bars of soap, my room was smelling nice all day! I just love the smell of the soap!

Thanks to BDJ Box for this combination of products for this month. I hope I can still subscribe to Jan-Feb box. They really sold-out fast so get your now! ^.^

'Till my next unboxing post! Xoxo ♥

Review: J.CAT in Hollywood Style

I am obsessed with online shopping these days and I always include lipsticks on my cart that's why my lippies are already piling up. I realized I need to review most of them. So let me start with J.CAT in Hollywood Style which I bought from Suzanne's Emporium. The shop sells 'very' affordable branded cosmetics from the US. They always includes freebies as well! Check out there shop here.

One thing that made me interested with this lipstick was not the brand which I just heard when I bought the product but the cat design in it's label. I remembered my dear friend who loves cat and planned to give this to her. However, she already went somewhere far and won't come back in years so I had the excuse of using it. I'll just replace this gift once she's back. :)

JCat is lead-free, cruelty-free and hypoallergenic. I also love the swatch I saw from the photo ad so I immediately secured one for myself. Upon seeing the word 'hollywood', it also made me think that it's the kind of lipstick color for celebrities so I didn't miss the chance of getting one. (Or is it just me reasoning because of another impulse shopping? ^.^ )

Upon swatching it, I felt that it's an ordinary type of pink for me. I am looking for a more subtle pink. However, I still like the color though. I actually like any color of lipsticks I tell you. I think it's my other persona telling me to build an entire collection of lippies. Sssssshh!

Here's the color when it sets. Pretty pink right? :) OMG! My lips looks pale. I think I need to exfoliate soon! You can check one of my reviews with an exfoliate stick in lipstick form which I got from Red Apple. You can view the fantastic product here.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • I got it in a very affordable price of P150 from Suzanne's Emporium.
  • Lead-free, cruelty-free and hypoallergenic
  • Cute design.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Has paraben.
  • Need to reapply the product often.
  • Not easily available on local beauty stores. You can still bought it online though at Suzanne's Emporium.
Price: P150.00
Bought from: Suzanne's Emporium.
 Size: 3g.

What do you think about the JCAT? I really like this color. I think I can use this daily. I have a pattern on my lippies though. Everyday, I wear different colors of lipstick so that my students have something to look forward to. I think that would be one reason of not occurring cutting classes right? Haha. Connect?

I have a presentation of an action research tomorrow so this would be my LOTD. See yah! ♥

Review: Skin Food Black Sugar Deep Cleansing Cream

It's been months since I last posted a review on a cleansing water that I am really loving from TFS which I wrote here. Now Skin Food has the same cleansing cream which I am also loving that's included in their black sugar line. It's the Skin Food Black Sugar Deep Cleansing Cream

My first encounter with Skin Food was their black sugar mask which I used as a sample and from then on, I fell in love with Skin Food's Black Sugar line. This cream was no different. I saw it online and immediately bagged it because of the affordable price compare to the stores. It was only P99.00. It's the trial size so it's worth it for the amount.

Based from my observation, Korean skincare brands are really hygienic because one thing I noticed in most of their products was that their products was really covered from the inside before the cap or the outer covering.

Upon removal of the covering, I saw that this cream has a beige/ light yellow color and I also noticed that the texture was kinda oily. I also thought that there will be some sugar grains on it like the sugar mask I tried previously. The overall look of the product looks like an ordinary moisturizer for me.

I tried cleansing the lipstick swatch in my hand and it removes the dirt. However, I noticed that to cleanse this part of my hand, I needed to repeat the process twice to fully remove the dirt. As for my face, I need to do it more to cleanse it properly.

What I love about this product overall is that after cleansing the face, it really leaves the skin smooth and moisturized. It doesn't dry the face after cleansing. I only hope there were sugar grains in it because it was the reason why I bought this. I thought there are sugar grains inside the tube.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • I got it in a very affordable trial price of P99.00 from Dress Icon.
  • Cleanses well and makes the skin smooth and moisturized.
  • Pocket-friendly trial size.
  • Doesn't dry the skin unlike other cleansers.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Without English translation on how to use the product. :(
  • No sugar grains unlike what I thought it would be.
  • Need to reapply the product before it can cleanse well.
Price: P99.00
Bought from: Dress Icon. You can also buy it at Skin Food stores.
 Size: 20 ml.

Overall, I like this cream but I do not think I would repurchase it. I still love this cleanser of mine to bits. It still tops my cleanser list. How about you? What's your fave cleanser to date? :)

Comment down and let's chat! Xoxo ♥

My Bioessence Beauty Break Facial Experience

It's been a week of stressful sembreak for us teachers because we attended a week long seminar on action research. That's why I decided to use my premium pass yesterday courtesy of Bioessence which I got from Blogapalooza to get some quick facial and relaxation. I actually got a text prior to my decision of getting a treatment from the Bioessence team to use the pass until 31st for a chance of meet and greet with Allison Harvard. I happily obliged despite the hectic schedule. Anyway, what I actually needed was really a break.

I visited the Bioessence at Waltermart here at San Fernando, Pampanga. Kapampangans were lucky to have a Bioessence branch here to take care of them.

They're celebrating their 20th anniversary that's why bloggers from Blogapalooza got this premium pass. You will also know that the shop celebrates their anniversary because of this very lovely balloon and flower. It really complemented the beautiful services they have.

Shown below was the front desk that will greet you which has their name on it and the list of services they have together with the fees. At the front desk, Ms. Alice greeted me with a very warm welcome which put me at ease asking for details regarding the service I'm getting. We actually talked about booking my schedule because they have prior appointments before I arrived. I am a walk-in because I don't have a number of their branch here so I couldn't book beforehand. We are about to set the appointment on a later date around Monday or Tuesday but I am not really sure if I'll be available on those times because we have a plan presentation at work on Wednesday so Monday and Tuesday will be very busy for sure. My Saturday and Sunday is dedicated for work as well so I can't go out. So as I keep on insisting if they have availability even at a later time at night, she told me to wait for a couple of minutes so she can confirm if the prior group they will be servicing will arrive. I stroll around the mall to wait for her update and only less than 10 minutes, I got a response telling me that I can have the 4:15PM schedule. They say that the prior group called-in and they will be late. That was a fast response from Ms. Alice. Thank you. ♥

They have a very spacious waiting area and it looks sophisticated as well. You will really feel a relaxing ambiance here.

Ms. Alice told me that before we start the session, she'll analyze my skin first. Unlike in other wellness centers, they do not have this machine that will deeply analyze your skin problems. Here, Ms. Alice showed me what my face looks like under UV light. Even though I think that I have good skin, the whiteheads and deep-seated dirt on my face grosses me out! I also have a big problem with my eye area which really looks dark. Ms. Alice said it may be because of lack of sleep or I am not hydrating myself well. She told me that water makes a huge difference. I think I need to stick to a water-drinking routine. I am somehow guilty on that account! >.<

After checking my skin, she introduced Rhona to me as my therapist. (I'm not sure if it's Rhona or Roda.) She guided me inside and before we started our session, ms. Alice happily toured me around the whole branch. She showed me how big this branch was despite it looking small from the outside. A room inside another room after another room.

They have couple rooms for spa which even has sauna inside. I really like their wonderful rooms and setup so I am thinking of inviting boyfriend to try their spa here. It's one of our hobby to go to different spa centers and this one will definitely be in our upcoming spa-to-visit list.

Ms. Alice provided the executive area for facial to me which I am really thankful. The light was not really dim plus my camera has a flash so you are seeing a natural shot.

I am not really used in facials in bed because my previous experiences were done on facial chairs. I prefer facial beds than facial chairs on that note. :)

These were the things Rhona put on my face. She started with preliminary massage for about a minute or two then she put on some cleansing milk. I love how my skin felt smooth after cleansing. Then she put on some scrub then toner and she steamed my face for 5 minutes before the extraction. We were talking about different things about facials before the extraction when I suddenly fell asleep. Bet she's really good because I felt really relaxed despite resisting on sleeping so I can feel the whole experience and can transmit it into words. That being said, it only means the service was so great that I didn't woke up in the middle of the extraction. When I woke up, she put on some cream then gave me some back massage for the end part. Definitely a trip to remember and will come back for more!

At first, Ms. Alice offered me the Medicated Facial but since I got the pass on the regular service, I opted to use it as per instruction so I would know how the experience was. I am still planning to get the Medicated Facial on my next visit though or perhaps a spa for the couple on the next monthsary. ♥

Thanks again Bioessence Waltermart San Fernando for the very warm welcome and for treating your customers with utmost care and giving the best service. Special thanks to Ms. Alice and Rhona for taking care of me. I will definitely come back soon! ♥
