Review: Skin Food Black Sugar Deep Cleansing Cream

It's been months since I last posted a review on a cleansing water that I am really loving from TFS which I wrote here. Now Skin Food has the same cleansing cream which I am also loving that's included in their black sugar line. It's the Skin Food Black Sugar Deep Cleansing Cream

My first encounter with Skin Food was their black sugar mask which I used as a sample and from then on, I fell in love with Skin Food's Black Sugar line. This cream was no different. I saw it online and immediately bagged it because of the affordable price compare to the stores. It was only P99.00. It's the trial size so it's worth it for the amount.

Based from my observation, Korean skincare brands are really hygienic because one thing I noticed in most of their products was that their products was really covered from the inside before the cap or the outer covering.

Upon removal of the covering, I saw that this cream has a beige/ light yellow color and I also noticed that the texture was kinda oily. I also thought that there will be some sugar grains on it like the sugar mask I tried previously. The overall look of the product looks like an ordinary moisturizer for me.

I tried cleansing the lipstick swatch in my hand and it removes the dirt. However, I noticed that to cleanse this part of my hand, I needed to repeat the process twice to fully remove the dirt. As for my face, I need to do it more to cleanse it properly.

What I love about this product overall is that after cleansing the face, it really leaves the skin smooth and moisturized. It doesn't dry the face after cleansing. I only hope there were sugar grains in it because it was the reason why I bought this. I thought there are sugar grains inside the tube.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • I got it in a very affordable trial price of P99.00 from Dress Icon.
  • Cleanses well and makes the skin smooth and moisturized.
  • Pocket-friendly trial size.
  • Doesn't dry the skin unlike other cleansers.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Without English translation on how to use the product. :(
  • No sugar grains unlike what I thought it would be.
  • Need to reapply the product before it can cleanse well.
Price: P99.00
Bought from: Dress Icon. You can also buy it at Skin Food stores.
 Size: 20 ml.

Overall, I like this cream but I do not think I would repurchase it. I still love this cleanser of mine to bits. It still tops my cleanser list. How about you? What's your fave cleanser to date? :)

Comment down and let's chat! Xoxo ♥

  1. That looks like a good product but then again, what do I know? Isn't soap and water good enough for cleaning the skin? I still have a lot to learn.

  2. Speaking of sugar, Mommy told me to use brownsugar with calamansi as facial scrub rather than using synthetic ones.

  4. Nay! How can I understand the instruction if there is no English translation? I won't consider buying the product but if I'll get it for free, who knows. :-)
