Review: V10 Plus Water Based Peeling Facial Mask

It's been a few weeks now since I received samples of V10 Plus Water Based Peeling Facial Mask from Ms Catty of JCP Skin and Body Solutions. I was supposed to attend their event that time but since Pope arrived, they postponed the event to give way to the participants to attend the historic event in our country that time. They sent samples to bloggers instead.

I got 4 mini samples of V10 Plus Water Based Peeling Facial Mask. V10 Plus are known as the World's 1st Skin Supplement Concept. These water-based masks claims to have no paraben, no chemical fragrance, no artificial color and no mineral oil. It contains rice bran and seaweed extract. Rice bran fights free radicals and aid in slowing down the effects of aging while Seaweed extract has natural healing properties, containing anti-aging agent which even has the efficacy to reduce cellulite. The extract also provides natural moisture on the skin.

I am not new in facial peeling mask. I also use them to exfoliate once or few times a week though. Currently I'm using Skin Food Black Sugar Mask Wash-Off for exfoliating. I skipped that first  and used V10 Plus product. Here's the instructions on how to use Water Based Peeling Facial Mask.

V10 Plus Water Based Peeling Facial Mask is also a huge name in print ads and media worldwide. It also won as Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards 2013 in Finland. No wonder why other bloggers are so attached with this product. Perhaps we also share the same curiosity.

Here's the product when dispensed from the sachet. It's water in a very light form. It also has no scent and very light on the face. I guess this is also best for those who have sensitive skin.

No need for harsh scrubbing. The product easily removes dead skin cells and reveals a clearer skin instantly. Even when I just got out of the shower and cleansed my face with a cleanser, it still removed dead skin cells deeper. That's nice!

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • No paraben and other harsh ingredients.
  • Water Based.
  • Dermatologist-tested.
  • Removes dead skin cells really well and it still has that white color of dead skin than black which looks unhygienic.
  • Very light and mild on the face.
  • Prevents aging and has natural moisture.
  • There's an after-glow after usage.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Difficult to find in the market.
  • Expensive.

Manicure Monday: Revlon's Blue Slate

Today's Manicure Monday is Revlon's Blue Slate. I have few pieces of Revlon nail polishes I got from BDJ boxes, winnings and stuff I bought. I liked their polishes because of their brush. The consistency is also nice since I already used the bottle a couple of times yet it's still good for use unlike others that the formula is already building up inside after few times of usage..

I like the color for semi-formal to formal occasion. I actually used this since I was thinking that Jaycee and I will be fixing some stuff for the wedding today but was postponed again. Guess I should have stick with bright colors for summer.

The application was easy because of the smoothness of the formula and the consistency is great! I had two coats in this and even a single coat has a great coverage for small nails like mine.

Anyway, I will be changing this color before next Monday since I also want to feel summer on my nails. I'm opting a neon or bright colored one. I got one from The Face Shop and will be featuring that on my next NOTD. Also watch out for my review on all shades of Caronia's Shades of Summer collection. I will do that this week so stay tuned. :)

More colors on the blog soon! Xoxo ♥

Review: Closeup Diamond Attraction

I've been hearing a lot of raves regarding the newest product from Closeup, the Closeup Diamond Attraction. Not only it has a different vibe with it's black and blue packaging, it also gives the aura of sophistication and elegance. So I grabbed one from the shelves of Watsons and took one home.

I like it's packaging since I love blue hues. It also looks like Samsung Edge for me with that 3D package effect. This strategy will really grabbed everyone's attention.

This toothpaste claims to have the revolutionary Blue Light technology. There's blue particles in it that works in action when you brush. After brushing, the blue is gone and your teeth are visibly whiter after the first brush. It also gradually whitens the teeth with regular use.

What I like with this toothpaste are the blue particles that I can feel working on my teeth. It is not too strong unlike most toothpaste and it has Power White that whitens the teeth after brushing. This is  a quick fix that you can use for quick events or occasion.

See the tiny white/blue particles in it? That is what's working on whitening the teeth. Closeup said that this is their most advanced innovation yet and they worked with cosmetic dentists to give this revolutionary Closeup range.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Attractive packaging.
  • It has Blue Light Technology that whitens the teeth after first use.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • A bit expensive than most toothpaste in the market.

Manicure Monday: Caronia's Summer Fling

It's been a while since I last posted  a Manicure Monday post. Work's been bugging me and I just can't have any peace of mind so I always skip doing shots of my week by week polishes. Now here's to freedom since vacation is near and I can finally go back to one of my first love - painting my nails.

Today's Manicure Monday is Caronia's Summer Fling in their Shades of Summer Collection. It's included in Caronia's Shades of Summer Collection which was sent to me last week. Finally, I am one of Caronia Philippines roster of bloggers!! *happydance*

I will keep you posted on all the shades of Caronia's Shades of Summer collection. It's nice to pattern their collection's name on Mr. Grey's story. Anyway, for now, let's see how this shade looks like. Here, I applied The Face Shop base and top coat with two coats of Caronia's Summer Fling. This shot was taken indoor without flash since trying to take a shot of it under direct sunlight seems to be of different shade. Let me see you the other one for comparison.

Summer fling is quite close to light plum I guess. Above's photo looks like it's more of a red but it's not. Too bad my camera phone on Samsung S4 and Nikon's Coolpix didn't give justice on the color so I took it inside. I actually noticed that dilemma on most of my red color family polishes. Hmm, I wonder why it is like that.

Anyway, I like the wear since it's best for formal events like Graduation. I actually painted it for that day. For the application and consistency, it's nice at first since the polish is new but when I was painting my 4th nail, I already experience some inconsistency on the formula. It looks smooth at first then it got chaotic after a while. I think it's because of the uneven hair on the brush. But overall, I like it 'cause it won't chip off easily. Just always combat with base coat and top coat for protection.

Review: Tony Moly Luminous Aura BB and CC Cream Special Set

I guess it's been a year when my sister went to Korea and hauled so many Korean products where she gave me a decent amount of some stuff. This Luminous Aura from Tony Moly was one of those 'few' stuff she gave (hahaha) and became my go-to when I used up all my BB Snail cream from the same brand. I have it for almost a year and finally said bu-bhye. You'll see it on my empties post here.

She purchased a set of both BB and CC creams. Technically, the one included here is my very first CC cream in all my beauty products. I have always relied on BB creams and brushed CC creams off aside. Only to find out that this does wonders on my face.

The CC cream or color correct changes to match the skin tone as soon as it's applied on the face to create brightness and illuminates the skin while BB provides moisturizing hydration and cover lacking coverage to create bright and luminous face.

Both products in the set has SPF. The Goddess Aura BB Cream has SPF 37 PA+++ while the Pure aura CC Cream has SPF30 PA+++. Both are 30 ml. It's a deluxe size.

I like that this set is a combo. After using CC cream, I use BB cream right after. This combined will last me for the whole day with a minimum powder touch-ups. How does it look?
It doesn't cake unlike other foundation especially when used with a brush. With the CC and BB combined, I am guarded with a flawless skin. Definitely worth my sister's penny! Haha.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Great coverage.
  • It moisturizes and covers imperfections really well.
  • Handy packaging
  • Long-wearing. Can last up to 8 hrs for both products used on the face.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • I hope the container is a pump but nevertheless, love the product so much!

Event: Bridal Expo Filipino

Since our monthsary on the 3rd fell on a weekday, we went out for a date last Saturday to catch up.It was a blessing to send us to this place as SM City Pampanga had a Bridal Expo where a lot of suppliers participated and exhibited a wide range of supplies for weddings. I think I already mentioned somewhere in my blog here that I'm engaged and currently looking for different ideas and suggestions for our big day.

(c) SM City Pampanga

We toured around the exhibit area and found a lot of interesting offers and discounts. Sad to say, we weren't able to book ourselves with any of the suppliers since it was a bit of a rush. However, we had now a lot of flyers and cards in hand and Jaycee and I will talk it out on which supplier we'll have for our wedding day. I actually want a nice yet a simple wedding. I want it to be very intimate!

Here are some of the photos I grabbed at the event.

All the design and setup above were really exhilarating and absolutely fab! There were also wedding dresses exhibited and everything looks so beautiful.

There were also some suppliers who give free makeup during the event but since we're just dropping by the area very quick that day, I wasn't able to grab the free makeup pass. Even Jaycee was encouraging me to try it. Sayang

Overall, it was a nice event for engaged couples to attend these kind of bridal fairs. You'll get discounts and you can also check which supplier you like best and who you think can pull of the task as how you like it. Weddings may mean splurging for the best on your D-day but that doesn't mean you can't stick with your budget. We found a lot of affordable option in this fair. I hope we can still grab more discounts or even free sponsors in the next few months. (CALLING ALL NINONG AND NINANGS AND BLOG SPONSORS!!! Hahaha)

Would you mind sharing me some tips on how affordable your wedding went? We'll tie the knot around December and any tips will be really appreciated.

Food Getaway: Ichiro

Dates are definitely scheduled every Saturdays and Sundays or whenever Jaycee has day-off from work. Mine was fixed while his wasn't. So whenever we have the same time offs, we always make it a point to catch up. We always do whatever we feel like doing: shopping, watching movies, running, doing sports, window shopping and EATING!!! Eating tops off our list. I guess every couple has his/her own experience of restaurant hopping. We always have that.

So yesterday, we dine in on one of the newest stalls at SM Pampanga, Ichiro. It's actually our second time there and forgot to blog about our first experience. Jaycee and I are always for good food. As he always say, 'Good things are never cheap!' Ichiro may not be the affordable stall for Japanese food but it certainly stands out among the crowd.

I like everything here the first time we dine. So I got a different meal yesterday. I had Katsu Don and Ham and Cheese Maki. Jaycee prefers Teriyaki Don and Miso Soup. We both had additional Iced Tea together with the meal.

Katsu Don - P120.00

 Teriyaki Don - P105.00

Cheese and Ham Maki - P75.00

 Miso Soup - P25.00

Dining there was definitely awesome. All of their food were really good. They offer great taste and very clean service knowing it's part of the foodcourt. Now, Jaycee and I have a spot for authentic Japanese dishes. Definitely worth the money. Will be going back for more!

Until our next food adventure! ^_^

Empties #11

I am really tired lately because of work piling up so I captured all my empties during the night in our secluded room instead of shooting it in the morning and wait for the natural lighting outside. I ended up getting this photo below. :(

If you'll notice, most of my empties were my samples from different brands. I'm actually trying to sort my beauty products few days ago when I noticed that my samples are building up so I pulled them out of my containers and started using them. It's actually good to use samples first before buying the full size because you'll get to know if the product suits your skin or not.

Notice my Tony Moly Intense BB Snail Cream which I used until the last pump! I love it so much!!! After almost a year, it was emptied. I didn't imagine that I will used everything up. The tube was so big and the usage was so little that I didn't imagine it will be gone forever. Haha. Now, I am using another brand from Tony Moly again and will be reviewing it in a few days.

From all the samples, I like the Benefit's Stay Don't Stray and Etude House AC Clinic Daily. I will be getting the full size of those products soon! The Ahava Hand Cream was also helpful. It comes really handy that it always solve my hand worries fast! Guess the least favorite from all of the items above were the Celeteque eye cream. I used two tubes but to no effect at all. I guess it's just a waste of money. :(

What's your favorite product you used until the last drop? Share your stories here. More of these soon. Xoxo ♥

February Collective Haul

It's another month again and it's another collective haul post for all things I received and bought for the past month. Endless count of blessings are pouring in every single day and I just can't help it but be overwhelmed. By March, I'm thinking of starting to have more personal related post on how my day-to-day experiences is filled with abundant blessings from above. We will have our vacation by then so I guess I have more time to analyze and evaluate what my 27 years of existence had contributed to the world and where do I wanna go from here.

Anyway, let's move on to the series of blessings I got for this month.

Snowy Flower
Remember my Christmas giveaway last December? One of the prizes was a DIY Snowy Flower set sponsored by Heavenly Snowy Flower Philippines. Apart from giving prizes to the readers, she also sent me my own DIY set. Thanks!

1 Year Supply of Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner
This is my first time to receive a box full of a dozen shampoo and conditioner. These bottles are my winnings from Everyday Me.Abundant blessings are continuously pouring in and I am really blessed

Eye Pads
I posted some photos of our school's field trip on Instagram around the first week of this month. One of the places where we went was at Star City and when I saw this on their tiangge area, I immediately bought it! One for me and for my fiance! Kawaii! ^_^

OMG Gems Collection Nail Polishes
When Jaycee and I went to the mall a week ago, I saw this collection and I immediately thought I need a new set where in fact, I still have a lot of polishes I haven't been used. Well, I'll be swatching them soon so please check that out. ♥

Metallic Body Tattoo
I don't know what's with this hype lately but I'm seeing a lot of photos on Instagram about these metallic body tattoos. These are popular to fashion bloggers.
Etude House AC Clinic Daily (Skin Care Kit)
My sister gave this to me after getting it as a freebie when she hoard from the said store.

Dove Aloe Wash and Burt's Bees Facial Cleanser
After my hateful post about Sample Room, it took months before I got another haul from them again. It's just because I like both products which is why I grabbed samples from them. It's not habitual though.

Klairs Moisture Rescue Set
I was lucky to be picked as one of the partner bloggers who will review this Klairs set from Wishtrend. I actually thought that the parcel was lost in transit since it's been two months of no update from them. Good thing it came in organized packaging. Will definitely give a review of this soon!

That's it for my February collective haul. Right now, I am really really saving tightly because our wedding requires a kinda huge amount of money for everything. Well, it might be huge for us and not for others. Me and my fiance are the only ones who'll pay for everything since both our parents were unemployed and they told us to deal with it ourselves if we really wanted to both settle. We're both praying to God to let us gather the amount we need. We believe in our couple power. We know God will provide for our wedding. ♥

I guess for the next few months, most of my purchase will come from my remaining GCs on different sites and perhaps from other sponsors again? Haha. Wishful thinking!

Until next month then! Believe in the power of love! Xoxo ♥
