Review: Revlon Photoready Eye Art in Burnished Bling

Putting on makeup can be a little daunting to do especially if you’re a busy mom like me. Since I started using makeup and since I got to receive items, I always make sure to find time in using products so that I can deliver honest reviews to my readers.

Upon receiving this Photoready Eye Art from Revlon, I know I had to use it for me to be able to write my review properly. It was in stock in my cabinet for almost a year before I started using it recently. To be honest, I am not much of an eyeshadow fan, especially now that I became a mom. I rarely put on eyeshadow. I still put some makeup though but totally not eyeshadow because its application requires more time. So reviewing this only means that I got back on track in using eye shadow items.

PACKAGING
I like this product because there are 2 products in 1 package. There’s a cream type eyehsadow and a glitter eyeshadow on the other end. I like how convenient it is to have two products in one packaging. I also like that the cream has a doe-foot applicator and the glitter one has a brush pen applicator. Both products had good applicator.

PIGMENTATION
This has great pigmentation, especially the cream one. You can work on anything with this from eyeshadow or even nail polish. But of course, I wouldn’t do the latter haha. .

PRICE
You can buy this individually for P625.00. Since this was included again in a beauty box, I got it a little less than its original price. Noticed that I am reviewing the items that I got from the beauty boxes I purchased. It is because I had so little time to do it. That is why I am rushing things now and reviewing them one by one.

EFFECT
What I do is that I spread the cream type on my lid and blend it using fingers. The downside of the high pigmentation is that it easily dries off and you need to blend it right away. For the glitter, I seldom use it because I don’t use it every day. I sometimes blend it together with the cream or just simply line it on the lower lash or inner. There’s also so many things to do on the glitter.

Yay for me! (。◕‿  ◕。)
  • Both are highly pigmented. A little goes a long way.
  • Has different purposes. You can work on this product on just about anything on the eyes.
  • It’s convenient to bring because there are 2 items in one package.
  • Applicator on both products were great already. No need for extra brushes.

Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  •   It dries easily so you have to work it through quickly.
  •  Tends to be a little heavy on the eyes (especially if you combine both).
  • A little messy especially if you use your fingers ( since it is more effective than brushes)

At first I thought that it’s all just the hype of the new product but I got to appreciate it because of its convenience and effectiveness. I just don’t use it in a daily basis, which is the contrast of what I like. I am actually finding an eyeshadow for a daily basis so I can also practice on my eye shadow makeup regularly.

Do you have the same item? Any thoughts?
