Review: Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Energizing Bath and Shower Gel

It's been a while since I last cleared up my storage and started using some of my long hauled products. I always make sure to check my cabinet in case the products will go beyond their expiration date. Good thing I am still in full alert mode with my stuff. I don't want anything to go to waste after purchasing them. So one of the most long hauled product I got was this shower gel from Elizabeth Arden.

My aunt from Canada actually sent me a whole set of Elizabeth Arden Green Tea. It includes a shower gel, body lotion, and a perfume (big and small). I first used the perfume where I already blogged about it a long time ago. It's actually my request when she asked me what's my perfume, hinting that she will send us some pasalubong and I opted for this line. I love how their perfume was so mild and soothing that I was actually way too loyal with the perfume. i only use that and nothing else. However, being exposed to different brands is quite tempting. Guess I shall explore a different brand soon? Any recos?

The shower gel also has that perfume smell of green tea that gives a relaxing vibe after wash. I really liked the scent which keeps me from sniffing it over and over again.  However, I was shocked that the tube wasn't filled-up fully unlike the perfume and the lotion. Photo above shows the original content before using the shower gel. Notice that it's already midway the container which was really upsetting. I can't do anything about it since it's included in a sealed and tightly wrapped box with the whole set. Also I can't just send it back to Canada for an exchange since it will become a HUGE hassle.

Well honestly, I was really disappointed with what I got but since the disappointment was already there, let's just move on with the review. The gel's color is a lemon green from the outside but it's a bit lighter than that when dispersed from the container. The consistency was not too watery and not too thick at all.

Since the product can last up to 24 months of use from the date it was open, guess I was not really late at all in using this. I actually thought the product won't give any quality because the long days it was stored. Anyway, upon opening the cap, you'll see that there's no inner covering so I suspected that this might be one of the reasons why the product was just half full. Guess it somehow leaked or worst ,evaporated into thin air. That I don't know. I just believe that the product only has half content. Just like what shampoo or lotion bottle has. You can't see the content from the inside of the bottle so most of those product weren't really full at all. You won't really notice if it's not see-through, right?  Get the point? :)

The gel's consistency gives a soft feel and wasn't sticky at all. Guess the downside for me was the smell didn't linger for long which I would prefer to be. I thought it would surpass other shower gel products because of it's name but it didn't somehow. The scent will only last when you're inside the shower room. The feeling after application however was great. It gives a relaxing and energetic feel on the skin.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Very mild and nice scent.
  • Handy and has a long storage life.
  • Consistency is not sticky.
  • Lathers easily
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Not easily available in the market since it's bought in a set.
  • I hope the scent will linger more on the skin even for just a few hours.
Price: FREE
Bought from: Got it as a gift.
Size: 100 ml.

I'm currently using 3 body gels now and by far, everything was so-so. For the scent, I'll give the point for Elizabeth Arden. For the moisture and smoothness, I'll give it to Dove and Dial. Still searching for that perfect shower gel. Any recos?

'Till the next review. Xoxo ♥
