Review: Aqua Mineral Velvet Touch Hand and Body Lotion

There were so many times I've shared my wonderful hauls in this blog but I also got my fair share of the wrong ones. After getting the product and trying it, that's the time that disappointment kicks in me. Guess it has to be this product, a part of it actually. Here's why.

As Jaycee and I were walking along Aqua Mineral's booth in SM Pampanga couple of months back, a staff of the said booth approached us inches from their spot and said to me, 'Do you believe in Magic?" I was in a friendly mood that day so I answered back a big NO yet with a grin. Then she told me if it's okay that she buff my nails and since it's about nails (my beauty weakness) I tagged along their spot. She then rubbed a small blue and white block on my nails then after a few seconds she counted to ten and showed me my new SHINY nails. So I was awed with what had happened so she introduced this line and all the stuff that comes with it. This lotion actually comes with it.

The whole nail kit was actually priced for P2500 which is quite insane for me. It is really expensive for a lotion, a nail file, a nail buffer and a cuticle oil. I know I can score more amazing product with that amount. But she started talking about discount if I'll pay now so they're cutting it off to 50%. I thought it was a great deal considering all the products and how majestic the effect of the buffer on me.

So I gave in, but later after a few months, I realized that the buffer in Japan Home can only be bought for P20! Insane right? The product that I took that made wonders on me was sold separately in other store for only a couple of peso. Gosh! How can I be so stupid! The cuticle oil and the nail file were just ordinary upon using them and now that I got to try this, was no different.

Yes! I like that it's Paraben-free and that there's a velvety after application feel. I used this mainly on my hands since it's a hand and body lotion. I also don't feel using it on the body because the texture for me is different. Lotions I used in the body are those that have fresh and cool vibe. This was more on the sophisticated type fit for matured women.

I like that it has an internal covering to avoid dispensing the product before using it. It's just like the Korean products i tried that mainly has a covering in the inside before the bottle cap.

The product has a light texture but not watery. I am using Belo's Sun Expert as well when I need to go out and that was too watery for me. I don't know if it really was or maybe the weather has something to do about the consistency of the latter. I can say I like this as a hand cream for it provides moisture and I feel like it softens the skin too. The scent was okay but it doesn't last though.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Paraben-free.
  • Moisturizes and leaves the skin smooth.
  • Scent was just so-so.
  • Can be used on both hands and body. I only prefer using it on the hand though.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • Expensive! really expensive! That's P1250 for a nail file, buffer, cuticle oil and this one!
  • Scent doesn't last long. I want a hand lotion that lasts long so when people will shake with me or if I need to shake hands with people, I'm covered.
Price: P1250 for the whole set. Not sure what's th eprice separately.
Bought from: Aqua Mineral Booth SM Pampanga
 Size: 125 ml.

Would you go for the same decision that I did? I know I wasn't like that personally. I'm usually safe with all my purchases. This one's really not me. :(

I guess all the points belongs to this lotion since it was my favorite item from the whole set. I have already moved on from that experience and this time I am more careful on what I get.

  3. I've been approached by sales people from Aqua Mineral too on several occasions but never bought anything because their products are really pricey.

    1. It's good. there's no doubt about that. But it was too costly for me. P2500 for a set is quite expensive compared to it's competing brands which has the same or better effect.

  5. The lotion looks promising I wanna try it. The brand offers pricey products but some of my friends who are using it said it is effective and they love the results.

  6. I actually have this set as well. I think the only redeeming factor is that the buffer has a lifetime warranty. Still, pricey.

  13. You have a lot of hauls. I wonder how you are able to pay for them but nonetheless, I like reading your posts. It makes me aware of other products I might try someday. That's really expensive and I am very annoyed whenever saleslady deceives me. It's like money is the only important thing. But well, I have share of mistakes too and lesson learned.

    1. I used to haul a little something for myself, some are gifts from someone and some are from sponsors.. Not to mention the winnings I sometimes get though. Guess I was really and truly blessed to be loaded with stuff.

  14. I stay away from this booth every time I visit the mall because I know that their product is expensive. It's a lesson for you and I know you'll be wiser next time :)
