Book Review: THE SOUTHERN FOODIE'S GUIDE TO THE PIG by Chris Chamberlain

The Southern Foodie's Guide to the Pig is a culinary tour of the South's best restaurants and the recipes that made them famous.I remember my college days with this book because I got the same concept of the book but this was way better than the former. This is not just a cookbook but a history book and a guide. Being a food blogger sometimes, I like how the author showed the history of the food, especially everything regarding the 'pig'.

THE SOUTHERN FOODIE'S GUIDE TO THE PIG
Author: Chris Chamberlain

I must admit, I may not be from the South but I know some food from them and liked them. This book gives description on the different parts of the pig, including the butt, ham, ribs, loins, chops, shoulder, and bacon. The book will even teach you on how to cook different parts of the pig. I know I'm a blogger but I am really far from being a cook. This book is really a helpful tool for individuals who can't cook like me.

This also includes a profile of different restaurants and recipes that made them famous. It's really fascinating to get this book because you do not only learn wonderful information about the pig but you also get an addition in the collection of your cookbook list! I know this is my first time to review a book here on my blog. I was lucky to receive a free book from BookLook Bloggers. Since it's my first time, I got little problems to begin with. I first requested a copy of the book but they do not have this in print and they only have ebook. Being a person with low quality and rather small phone, I skipped downloading it on my mobile and proceeded with my sister's tab instead. However, the first format can't be read as well as the second and the third, so I needed to use an outside person just to review the book. A little effort for a wonderful book is totally worth it!
