Food Getaway: The Orange Bucket

Are you a seafood lover? Do you want crabs, shrimps and mussels? You can easily catch them if you visit The Orange Bucket located at Km. 71 McArthur Highway, Kalahi Industrial Road, San Fernando, Pampanga.

Last week, I was able to visit the newly opened The Orange Bucket, which was formerly known as the Crowing Chicken. They moved from Angeles to San Fernando and changed the entire name and concept from chicken to seafood. It is a Cajun-inspired restaurant which specializes on exquisitely-flavored seafood.

Once you enter the place. you will see on the left side a big blue crab which highlights the place together with the boats on the ceiling that transcends a nautical theme. It's like you are dining by the bay!

They served us some drinks and side dishes first. I have always loved mason jar. I think they're popular nowadays and most cafe and restaurants use them. For me, they add some aesthetic sense which I like.

Dishes at The Orange Bucket varies from seafood to other Asian dishes. We tried their Thai Spring Rolls, Thai Fried Rice, Country Style Chicken, Tempura, and of course their main offering, the Seafood Bucket. Desserts were also presented to us like the Double Chocolate Cake and Buko Pandan.

Thai Spring Rolls - P180.00
I like the fresh greens in this dish. It's sweet and sour combined.

Thai Fried Rice - P180.00
This rice was very flavorful. I may not be a fan of runny yolks but this combine with the rice makes it a perfect blend of ingredients.

Country Style Fried Chicken - P 300.00 (Half)
Their chicken was very tender and the potatoes and greens on the side are well-cooked.

Tempura - P250 for 6 pcs.
What I like with their Tempura is that you can eat it until the end. The coating was superb and the shrimp was soft and fresh.

Double Chocolate Cake - P125.00
Love the cake. Beats everything I ate. I have a sweet tooth 'ya know!

Seafood Bucket - P1185.00
Being a seafood lover, I was drooling when I tasted this! Totally love the spices in their bucket. If I have three favorite food in the world, it's these three and I highly recommend that you choose to get the Captain's catch and taste all three!

For their Seafood Bucket, you have the option to choose within crab, mussels and shrimps or a combination of the three. We had all three in our bucket.

Next, choose your preferred flavor, Choose among Cajun, Lemon Butter or Garlic Butter. If you want all the flavors combined, tell them that you go for the Big Bang. I would suggest to go for the Big Bang. It's so flavorful you will love it so much!

And for it's spiciness level, choose among Tamed (non-spicy), Wild (a bit of kick), Wilder (kickass) and the Wildest (XXX). I would suggest to go for Wild or Wilder but if you want to experience the flavor all the way, then go for the Wildest!

  10. Hey,

Awesome Like lowed client benefit superior to anything home warehouse post you have shared here.

Sadly while I cherished the look and feel of the majority of the lounge areas, I wasn't a gigantic aficionado of the sustenance. The menu appears to have been more idiotic down with a specific end goal to urge visitors to gobble in the premium up charge eateries. For instance their ordinary menu has things, for example, spaghetti with meat sauce and browned chicken. I have generally expected something somewhat more progressed in the lounge areas. Truly this post is extremely basic for us..

    Thanks,
    FRANK

  11. I am loving the photos! The food really looks delicious but I think the food here is really pricey. Anyway, since you mentioned that they offer spicy dishes, I am a sucker for spicy foods so maybe I'll try XXX among them all. Haha. Well, I'm gonna add this on my resto-list.
