Review: Pili Dual Action Cleansing Oil

I've been a fan of double cleansing and I love how cleansing balms and cleansing oils work for me. So when I saw this Pili Ani Facial Cleansing Oil from Sample Room, I immediately grabbed it using my points since I'm interested to try it. Here are my thoughts about the product. 

WHAT IS IT:

This Pili Dual Action Cleansing Oil is a makeup remover that will naturally refresh your skin from makeup and restore your skin’s natural moisture. Leaving your skin feeling fresh and moisturized while gently removing all traces of makeup, this is the only makeup remover in the world with our uniquely powerful Elemi and Pili Oils.

PACKAGING

This is housed in a plastic container. Upon checking Pili Ani's website, I saw that they have this in a more sophisticated bottle. I guess this was an old packaging or perhaps something that they gave out as samples. It looks low-priced with the packaging. I prefer the current packaging they have now. 

KEY INGREDIENTS - This Pili Oil contains high concentration of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Antioxidants protect cells from effect of free radicals and other external aggressors that cause ageing. Fatty acids, meanwhile, are essential for keeping skin nourished and hydrated even at the cellular level.

Also it has Elemi Oil which has antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that are significant in improving skin health, ensuring fast healing, regeneration and purification. Elemi oils are also a key for firming and tightening of skin.

SCENT - It has a really subtle essential oil scent to almost unscented. I have a pure Elemi Oil and it smells something like that but very light. 

PRICE - I got this for free using my points at Sample Room but this is priced at P795.00. I believe this time,  Sample Room doesn't offer this as one of their samples anymore so you can purchase it directly at their site or at Shopee. 

TEXTURE - The oil is light and it feels smooth on the skin. It doesn't feel heavy nor oily when you apply it. My only concern though is that it stings on my face but it's tolerable. At first I thought my skin isn't compatible with EOs but after using it consistently, my skin adapted to it. 

EFFECT - I like how this oil really cleanses my skin and effectively removes makeup and stubborn dirt. My face also felt moisturized and isn't drying which is a great point despite the stinging sensation it gives on my skin.

Overall, it's a decent product for me. Used this for several months until I ran out because it just effectively removes makeup easily. It does what it says but I think it's a bit-costly compare to its counterparts. Still, it's worth a try if you're looking for local and natural product.
