My Diamond Peel Experience at YSA Skin and Body Experts

I finally bid goodbye on my P1000 GC from YSA Skin and Body Experts which I got from Blogapalooza since last year. I don't know why I haven't used it for the longest time where in fact, I have all the vacation days which have no classes and schedules and I chose to use it just last Friday. I'm just so weird!

I actually thought that I need to make a reservation first but since they don't have too much customers, I guess they accommodated me which is good since I want some pampering that exact moment. Since I have a 1k GC, they offered a Diamond Peel which amounts to 1k to cover the whole amount of the GC. I just said YES to the offer. The desk personnel then endorsed me to the staff who did the service to me saying 'Diamond Peel s'ya mam. GC'. Are there any different treatment for GC holders is what I thought since she endorsed me to the servicing staff that I'm a GC customer.

It's my first time to get a diamond peel. I am just into simple facials before since I believe that I don't need such fancy treatments because my skin's condition is just okay in the first place.

First, they told me to wash my face on the sink on the photo above with a papaya cleanser in the pump bottle which I thought is just for hands. I actually asked the staff if she's really sure it's safe to use on the face since I am using cleansers and other delicate stuff on my face. Since she said yes, I just gave in. I just feel her answers are not so reliable or perhaps it's just about her way of answering questions.

I asked her then if it's okay to get photos during the whole session and she didn't even budged. Then I said I'll blog about it and she answered with a nod. From here, I already concluded that the staff was really not interested to what I'm saying.

We then started. She told me to lie down and she'll put mask on my face. I then ask a lot of questions regarding the mask. What type of mask is it? What does it do to the skin? If it is mint since I began feeling some coolness? She told me that it removes dead cells then she just smiled. I actually want her to tell me more about it but she's just not into it.

After she covered my entire face with a mask, she told me that I need to wait for 10 minutes while waiting for the mask to sit in and let it dry on my face. She then left me so I had the chance to take photos of myself.

After 10 minutes, she was back and then she said that we're going to start. Oh! So all of it was just an introduction after all. So I said yes and she got this tool that she puts on my face and slowly did her thing. I then asked what does the tool does to my face. She just answered the same thing like the mask and said that it removes the dead skin cells and that's it. No more ands and buts. She answered plainly like that. From then on, I stopped talking and just let myself sleep because I know she wouldn't talk to me in a friendly manner. I would prefer really friendly staff that would really ask if you're feeling good and such.

After using that tool which claims to remove dead skin cells, she said that we're done and that's it. Tapos na po ma'am were her very 'tipid' words. So I tried asking, what do I need to do after this session. Can I use creams? She said no. Can I use cleanser? I asked. She then said no. What do I need to do Miss? Then she said 'Basta wala po kayong ilalagay ng three days sa skin n'yo at wag kayong magpapaaraw.' Oh okay! That's it! I bid goodbye and said thanks and I left as soon as I can.

If there is one thing about the service that I hate, you know it already. I proactively mentioned to the staff that I'm new to Diamond Peel before we start and told her that I am more into simple facials before so I guess I hinted her that I need some info on the process she's doing to my face. I would say I love what happened to my face since I got rosy cheeks even without doing anything but the attitude on the work she gave me was the one which I don't like at all. I've been to salon, spa, and facial centers and they've been really friendly in a cool manner. I just hope next time, YSA SM Pampanga staff would smile more and would accommodate customers even if their just GC holders.

Yes, it's my first time at YSA and I don't think I'm going back with that kind of service. I prefer my last facial session at Bioessence where the staff was too friendly already and would really talk to me all the time. They even asked me if I want to sleep or if they're bothering my rest while they're talking. They also texted me post treatment and asked how's the service I got with them. Now, that's what you called good service!

Any YSA experience here anyone? Would love to hear what you can share. Spread love and beauty. XOXO ♥

  2. Sounds like you had a great time. I've never experienced a diamond peel. It's way too expensive for me.

    1. It's kinda irritating noh when you are trying to be friendly and all yet the other party doesn't mind at all.

  5. I haven't tried diamond peel also justa basic facial. They said there is a big difference in diamond peel is more extreme than basic facial. The staffs are not that friendly they just do their work not customer service.

  12. Sorry to hear about your experience Sis, sounds really sucks though, I wish they were more friendly, informative and engaging to their guest. Ayaw ko ng tinitipid ng mga advice lalo pa when it comes to beauty care. Kakaloka, yung service na inis tuloy ako dito while reading your post. But, this will help other people going to YSA and also to have better service next time dibah. Stay gorgeous!

    1. Yes sis. I really feel bad with the experience. I hope they're more friendly nga. Anyway, it reflects the service they gave and so far, it's not my fave. i can't help but to compare them with Bioessence here in Pampanga as well. The staffs at Bioessence were all friendly and very reassuring. They even texted me if everything's okay with my skin and as well as the service they gave. That;s what you call good quality service.

  13. I think yoy are right. Even we are just using GCs, we are still customers and should be treated as is.

  14. I haven't been to Ysa and I was lucky that my only diamond peel sesh was with a friend's salon. Customer service really makes or breaks your relationship with a shop.

    1. I agree! From all the experiences I had in getting services at salon and spa, I know that GOOD customer service will either made me decide to stick to the shop and build my relationship with them or just say thanks and move on. My message for this shop is just a thank you.

    1. That was really surprising 'cause in some salons, they will upsell their services as well. Guess they think I won't be able to pay for my own service without the GC. Sometimes, I had that thinking because of the service I get. They're wrong.
