Review: Revlon Photoready Skinlights in Peach Light

I've been a fan of Revlon since I started using it. Be it their nail polishes, lipsticks, balms among others, they never failed to impress me. And recently, I tried their Photoready Skinlights which is a face illuminator and it worked great for me. I felt pretty after using it. Haha.

I always prefer a no-makeup look so I mainly just use cleanser, moisturizer and BB creams/ CC creams. Now that I got an illuminator, I felt prettier than before. Why? Illuminators are products that reflect light. This is actually the safest thing to fake a dewy, glowing and younger skin. If you want that killer cheekbone, an illuminator is the product that you need. I used this whenever I feel that my skin is dull. It just adds that oomph glow afterwards.

Just apply an illuminator on the top of your cheekbones and blend out just above your eyebrows. Add it on the sides and middle of your forehead and chin, and place a little on your cupid's bow.

You may want to make sure that you apply the illuminator on the points where the light will hit your face. I just feel pretty on the photo right? Haha.. Honestly, I wasn't obsessed with illuminator until I got this tube of Skinlights from Revlon. I can say this is my favorite since this is my first. I've heard Nars orgasm was great and I hope I can have that, but yeah, that one was too expensive. This illuminator was actually just a winning from a giveaway by BDJ. :)

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Got it for FREE. (Winning from BDJ)
  • It illuminates the points on the face well.
  • Blends really well.
  • Provides that youthful glow.
  • It doesn't make the skin oily.
Nay! (。◕︵◕。)
  • When I first opened the tube, it overflows and a lot was dispensed from the tube without me letting the contents out from the container.
  • Only has limited shades.
Price: FREE
Bought from: BDJ Loot Bag (winnings)
Size: 30 ml.

I will definitely always use this illuminator from now on because I feel like there's a glow in my skin with this product. And oh by the way, notice I had my hair colored? It's a great risk I did just a few days ago. It wasn't perfect thought but doing it is a big leap for me since my hair is considered a 'virgin' with treatments and all. I'll share my post on that soon!

So what do you think with this illuminator? Share your thoughts here! Would love to hear them guys!
All the love! Xoxo ♥

    1. I actually thought twice since you mentioned hair and asked myself why is it about hair. Then I realized, yeah, there's Revlon for hair coloring pala. Perhaps that's the one you are talking about. Yes, Revlon is a very popular brand in cosmetics.

  19. Hmn maybe I should try this one out along with my BB cream. Especially in our current weather, it's hard to look fresh when your face looks so sweaty all the time.

    1. It's objective is to target those parts where the light will touch. It might not be ideal for oily skin but there are those shades that will work great for you. You can use the Barelight shade. Heard it do great on oily skin.
