Haul: Sample Room #4 and Others

Hi everyone! I've been totally busy this week because of so many piled events and activities, plus catching up on those behind lessons because of the suspension of classes due to typhoon the previous week. Such a difficult time in updating my blog.

However, I got myself some random stuff this week that consists of beauty hauls. Let me introduce you to each one of them.

I ordered the BB Cream of Colour Collection from Sampleroom which is worth 101 points. Since I am currently using my Lovely ME:EX, I will review this some other time.

A new Tony Moly store in Eastwood Mall Citywalk opened last Monday and my elder sister got herself some beauty products from the shop and bought me a Nose Pack and a Mask Collagen to try. I will review about this soon! Thanks eonnie! ^_^

Lastly, I visited HBC San Fernando early today and found out about San San's Holiday Collection. I got three shades from the collection namely Midnight Opal, Velvety Garnet and Midnight Topaz consecutively.I will post an NOTD on all three shades soon! ^_^

How do you find my haul? Any recent hauls you had lately?

... And by the way, I will be launching a Commenter of the Month on my blog starting tomorrow, Sept 1, 2013 and I will make it open internationally! How's that sound? :)

I hope you can support me and my blog all the way! Cheers! ^__^

SALE! SALE! SALE ^o^

I had a huge cleanup with my accessories and wardrobe earlier and I had to let go to most of my new items. Not even one was used from these babies. Everything in the photo was for the sake of showing it when worn. I just felt I need to let go of these to give way to Super Junior's concert. I badly need to save and to earn money before October if I want to watch SS5! Plus I want to get a good seat! ♥

If you have been a reader of my blog, you'll know that I'm getting a lot of accessories lately. I chose those ones that are less to my liking and sell them away so this can add more on my ticket for the concert.

Experience Threading at Lay Bare

Threading is a skill that involves using a piece of thread to remove the hair from your eyebrows or elsewhere. I just had mine yesterday at Lay Bare. ^_^

I seriously thought about it since it will be my first time and usually, first times are what hurt most. In the end, I gave up thinking twice and courageously enter the doors of Lay Bare at SM Pampanga.

I've been saving my energy and effort in cleaning my brows since I don't know when and save it for the professionals who will handle my worries. I know Lay Bare can handle it. :)

Lay Bare offers different waxing services that are definitely affordable. Since I don't know how to do threading myself, I am leaving it to the experts. After that, I think I might try to practice the skill on my own.

Some reminders you need to bear in mind. I actually went at the mall a week ago to do the session but I got a period then. I was just too ignorant on the do's and dont's in waxing.

This is a photo of the aftermath! Haha. I was immediately called and got no time to take a photo of the before shot of my bed.

On me: Crissa blouse, Romwe shorts, Fitflops, Satchel from Korea and Bracelet from Favordeal
I tried to capture an outfit post but it's a fail. Haha. I was just too dizzy after the process. Nakakaluha kasi! T__T

Here's a photo of my before and after eyebrow. Notice how the after photo turned out so clean. I was too happy with the result that I can't stop bragging about the process with my friends.

BEFORE and AFTER!
I like that it's beautifully cleaned. No marks can be seen compared if you will clean it using tweezers. Now, I just need to maintain my brows as it is now or better yet, I need to master the technique of threading. I also want to learn that process one day.

What do you think of threading? Have you experienced the same process? It would be lovely to read your comment guys. :)

'Till my next post! xoxo ♥

NOTD: Raspberry Sherbet

How are you guys? Hope it's safe in your end despite the horrible flood and rain that our country had these past few days. Anyway, I'm back with a new post. Disclaimer: This is not part of my Manicure Mondays.

It's been months, no decades since I last time posted an NOTD. Why? I just can't spare some time in polishing my own nails because I am working on my student's grades, tests, lessons, etc even on the weekends. Plus the fact that I don't want them to see me in my most shocking nail polish while teaching bothers me. So I tried to paint my nails only yesterday which lasted only until today. Since class will resume tomorrow, as of this writing, I already removed it. Glad I got some time to take a picture of it and post it here.

This nail polish is part of my past haul which I kept and touched only until yesterday. This is a new brand of nail polish I saw at Watsons. I like its color plus the fact that it's huge and affordable made me get it.

Pardon the messy polish. I didn't clean it up since I am thinking of removing it soon. Haha. Oh how I miss painting my nails. Even if it only lasted for a single day, it still gives me joy just by looking at it. I hope vacation is near so I can play and make more nail arts. ^__^

I will try my very best to find time in making nails arts during the weekend even if I have to remove it the next day because of school. I am creating my own happiness with this.

What do you think of the polish? Yay or nay? Share your thoughts. Stay safe everyone! ^_^

Review: Tailor Masque, Detoxing Facial Treatment

I am a big fan of giveaways. Who doesn't love getting free stuff, right? So sometimes, I join contests and giveaways to experience the joy of getting prizes.

Months ago, I won in a giveaway and received a Tailor Masque sample as a price. It's not as fancy as other prizes I got before like an Ipod, T20 Cherry mobile phone or a Fitflop. Fancy or no fancy, I love the feeling of getting different stuff every now and then. ^_^

My very first winning for this year is this 3-pack sample of Tailor Masque from New Zealand. I won in an international giveaway. I forgot the direct link of the site where I won. (Sorry!)

This Tailor Masque has a unique formulation which detoxes and exfoliates, leaving skin feeling soft, smooth and fresh. It is made from natural and organic ingredients, with no harsh chemicals, fillers or parabens.

For the best results smooth Tailor Masque over skin leaving a thin light weight layer. Apply a thicker layer around wrinkles and pimples. Let Tailor Masque dry and rinse with warm water and a face cloth. Follow with Tailor Mist. Since I don't have a Tailor Mist, I used a different mist after the masque.

Notice the area on my face that is already dry and the still wet portion. I waited until the whole masque dried up. There's a feeling of stiffness on the whole face after application. I let the masque sit on my face for around ten minutes before I washed it off.

I noticed that while rinsing the masque on my face, it cleanses off the dirt because the water turned dark. It really detoxifies the skin. I love the after feeling on my skin because it felt so smooth and  moisturized.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Got as a prize! ♥
  • Made from natural and organic ingredients.
  • No animal testing.
  • Environment-friendly packaging
  • Detoxifies and exfoliates the skin.
  • Fast shipping. (Got it a few days after I am announced as the winner.)
Nay! (。)
  • Kinda pricey
  • Not available locally.

Price: $12 (Got it as a winning!)
Size: 21g

How do you find it? It's something new for me and I love it! I just hope there's a store that will cater this. If you know one, feel free to link it here.

'Till my next post. ♥

My 24-pc MakeUp Brush Set

I still can't believe that I now own a complete makeup brust set. I am a noob when it comes to makeup application but since I want to learn, I order this set at Romwe.com and will get to try some tutorials on YT and the like. I am just too busy with work right now but once I get the hang of it, I will start with some makeup trainings. I hope to find some time.

Anyway, the set is a 24-piece set of brushes made to provide professional results. It includes fan-shaped, foundation, eye shadow, bevel eyebrow and lip brushes, plus eye shadow sponge brush and lash comb.

The leather case was of good quality. I like how it is packed very neatly and orderly. The set makes me want to learn more on a makeup application course. Hihi. :)

I actually thought this is a Bobbi Brown set because of the photo on the site so I immediately grabbed it even at $30.99. View it here. Still, I'm very happy with my 24-pc set regardless of the price. ^__^

Review: Nature Republic's Hand & Nature, Hand Lotion (Peach)

It was my birthday when I received this hand lotion as a gift from my bff Gel. I kept it for months until recently I ran out of Ahava hand cream so I now have the reason to use the former. ^_^

I remember Gel texted me few days before my big day asking me what I wanted among lipstick, gloss and a hand lotion. I opted for lotion since I need it so bad for my tired hands. She granted my request! ♥

She gave me this Nature Republic's Hand & Nature Moisture Hand Lotion in Peach. I know this has two types. One is in Olive. Feels like it has a peach smell. Not that fruity smell you're thinking of. It smells very light which is somehow good anyway. It would have been better though if it leaves a long-lasting smell so that when someone shake hands with you, no problemo! :)

It is a watery substance unlike others that are thick. It rubs in very easily. I like how it was silky enough without the greasy feel and there's the feeling that my hand was really moisturized. You just need to reapply it every now and then since it doesn't leave on your skin for a long time.

Yay for me! (。◕‿◕。)
  • Gift! Thanks chinggu! ♥
  • Cute packaging
  • It is affordable. (4000W = P157. I'm not sure though if it's the same price here.)
  • A pea size covers the whole hands already.
  • Has a very light smell.
Nay! (。◕)
  • Small improvement for appearance of lines.
  • Does not linger long in my hands
  • Too watery for me.

Price: 4000Won (Got it for free as a gift!)
Bought from: Nature Republic
Size: 60ml

Thank you again to my chinggu Florgeline who got me this for my birthday! Kamsahamnida chingguya! Saranghe ♥ (Pardon me blogging in Korean. We are both fangirls! ^o^)

Haul: Sample Room #3 + Review: Colour Collection Red Wine (Satin)

Recently, I ordered a lipstick at Sample Room because I ran out of lippie and I've been using my Chapstick lip balm for the longest time I can't even remember. Glad that I spotted this from Sample room! If you want to get the same shade, hurry! They still have 18 samples left. ^_^

If you want your lips to be healthy and kissable, use Colour Collection’s Vitamin E Lipsticks. It is a range of lipsticks that are formulated with Vitamin E, making your lips still look moisturized and supple even long after the color wears off. It also has sunscreen that protects your lips from the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Tupperware Brands’ premier cosmetic line  presents these specially enriched glam lipsticks with Vitamin E -- widely known for its capability to speed up cell regeneration and retain natural moisture content of the skin. By helping you maintain smooth, sensuous and vibrant lips, Colour Collection's Vitamin E Lipstick puts the glamorous finishing touch to your look with over 15 passionate shades and 3 types of finishes – matte, satin and sheer.

I got the satin finish in Red Wine shade. I am also a fan of matte and sheer, but this was the only one that was available. Too bad I didn't chanced upon the other two types. I'm still lucky to get this though. :)

As much as I wanted to post a photo of me wearing the lipstick (focusing on the lips only), I really can't do it. So here's a collage that I made. I hope you can get the swatch of the lipstick from the photo. (Ika nga, pagdamutan n'yo na ang nakayanan ko!) ^_^

What do you think? Yay or nay??! Share your thoughts

So that's a quick review for you guys. Our intramurals will happen tomorrow so kinda busy with the mass demo and other sports. I will be assisting in some games like chess since I was once a chess coach. Hoping for a sunny day tomorrow. ^o^

Here's some details if you want the lippie above.

Price: PHP 330 (Got it for free! Paid P130 for shipping.)

Size: 4g

'Till my next post lovelies. xoxo. ♥

Review: Lovely ME:EX BB Cream

One of my favorite skincare since I first learned about it were BB creams. I feel that with the right amount of BB cream, it will leave the skin smooth. It also provides the no-makeup-on-the-go scheme on women who are not much into makeup. This is my third BB cream tube and it never failed to amaze me!

I first started with Etude House' version of Precious Mineral Bright Fit BB Cream No.2. Afterwards, I switched to The Face Shop's FACE It Power Perfection where Kim Hyun Joong was the endorser. I used both when I wasn't blogging yet. Good thing this third tube experience will leave blog-print on my humble web abode. Haha ^___^ It's the Lovely ME:EX BB Cream from The Face Shop as well.

This BB cream has a very cute packaging because of it's dainty design. It's also handy so you can bring it daily on your beauty kit. I used to have a large tube of BB cream before and it's just a hassle lurking aroud with that big thing inside my bag. The language used though is in Korean so technically, no instructions were included.Unless you know how to read the language. :)

It has an SPF 20+++ making it recommended for daily use. Though it doesn't have a nozzle, it's not a big deal for me because I feel that I can control the amount that I need to squeeze out on the tube. For some, this might be a downside.

The swatch, as you can see matches my skin tone very well. It is very light on the skin as well. It feels like you're not wearing BB cream at all.

I used BB cream on the right side of my face (audience perspective). Pardon the tired-looking eyes and messy hair. I look ugly! Hahaha.

Notice that the right side of my face looks a little dewy. It's like those Korean stars that have flawlessly-looking skin. Note: I'm not Korean. LOL. HAHA XD

... and the finished product?

Why am I making my eyes so big I look like a tarsier!!! Eeerr, I'm sorry guys, I'm no camera-genic. Oh, what a term! ^__^

Love the BB cream. It is very light on the skin and very easy to carry around. Though to be honest, this BB cream doesn't have a full coverage. You need to put a generous amount for it to cover the unevenness on your skin. I only had one application on those photos above. Putting it twice or thrice may result to your liking. Staying power is so-so. I sometimes reapply it when needed.

This is by far the most affordable BB cream I have ever used. I forgot the exact amount because my sister bought it for me but I guess this is around P350-P400. :)

Have you tried using this same product before? Any thoughts? 'Till my next post again. xoxo ♥
