Experience Threading at Lay Bare

Threading is a skill that involves using a piece of thread to remove the hair from your eyebrows or elsewhere. I just had mine yesterday at Lay Bare. ^_^

I seriously thought about it since it will be my first time and usually, first times are what hurt most. In the end, I gave up thinking twice and courageously enter the doors of Lay Bare at SM Pampanga.

I've been saving my energy and effort in cleaning my brows since I don't know when and save it for the professionals who will handle my worries. I know Lay Bare can handle it. :)

Lay Bare offers different waxing services that are definitely affordable. Since I don't know how to do threading myself, I am leaving it to the experts. After that, I think I might try to practice the skill on my own.

Some reminders you need to bear in mind. I actually went at the mall a week ago to do the session but I got a period then. I was just too ignorant on the do's and dont's in waxing.

This is a photo of the aftermath! Haha. I was immediately called and got no time to take a photo of the before shot of my bed.

On me: Crissa blouse, Romwe shorts, Fitflops, Satchel from Korea and Bracelet from Favordeal
I tried to capture an outfit post but it's a fail. Haha. I was just too dizzy after the process. Nakakaluha kasi! T__T

Here's a photo of my before and after eyebrow. Notice how the after photo turned out so clean. I was too happy with the result that I can't stop bragging about the process with my friends.

BEFORE and AFTER!
I like that it's beautifully cleaned. No marks can be seen compared if you will clean it using tweezers. Now, I just need to maintain my brows as it is now or better yet, I need to master the technique of threading. I also want to learn that process one day.

What do you think of threading? Have you experienced the same process? It would be lovely to read your comment guys. :)

'Till my next post! xoxo ♥

  1. Did you feel anything at all with the threading? I need one. I also don't have patience plucking my eyebrows and afraid I might shave it off too much with a razor. Haha.

    1. Feels like plucking too many hairs at the same time sis. Haha. Medyo nakakaluha but not really painful at all.

I am very satisfied, kahit sang branch. i have thick eyebrows kasi and they do marvelous job in shaping and cleaning it. lovely talaga. i love threading kasi it leaves your eyebrows clean and well-shaped, di ba? and sanay na ako sa sakit ng threading, haha! btw, your eyebrows after the session looks really pretty na. yun nga, you have to maintain it na or else, have it threaded again pag tumubo ulit. hihi!

  3. Naluluha ako sa threading! It's too much but I think it makes for neater brows than waxing or plucking.

  8. I'm glad I don't need to do this kasi I'd probably not go for a 2nd sessions anymore lol! Yung "no pain, no gain" mentality only works for me sa mga sports activities...pagdating sa pa-beauty, tamad ako (or probably takot) lol!

  10. I've tried threading once. Never did it again because my tears were falling from so much pain. Siguro, the one who did it wasn't very good, ano?

  11. Nice done. I love threading as well, but since I don't know how, I use tweezers instead hahaha! My cousin taught me how to fix my eyebrows the last time I went home, so I'm making sure the shape of my brows is still the same.

  15. My first threading experience was when I was in Manila. Kasama ko room mate ko. It was very painful at first, and sobrang kabado ako. Pero nasanay na din ako, and mas nagustuhan ko ang threading kesa sa plucking or shaving. :)
